This was book 7 in the "Pittsburgh Vampires" series. Lando Ricci isn’t thrilled when his friend Ian pulls him in to help monitor the new group of cat shifters who have set up shop in Pittsburgh. When some jackals get killed while trying to harm the cats Lando doesn't know what to think so he interviews the cats he notice that one of them is missing. Thomas Casey has spent all his life hiding when he comes face to face with his mate he knows he can never have the handsome vampire. Thomas is a black jaguar shifter he is rare he is also promised to a powerful witch. When Lando meets Thomas he can't stop thinking about the small shy cat but doesn't know why. Thomas has some kind of necklace on to mask his scent when Lando pulls it off he finds out that they are mates. This was a good read people think that Thomas will bring them bad luck one coven member disobeyed Nik's orders. When the Gallick witch comes to the coven to collect Thomas he gets a surprise. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I wish I liked it better, but I'm excited to see where the next book goes

I wasn't thrilled with this addition to the series. It felt more like a filter, or connecting story to the next book with the Gallic Witch and Ian.

Wilfred's blatant disregard of Master Nic's direct and explicit instructions was pretty baffling, especially considering all of the other dangerous mates in the coven, and I certainly didn't feel sorry for him when he was called to account.

I just love these charismatic vampires, and I'm so happy to see that the author has added another addition to this series. The ending was so surprising (ending one problem while starting another) that I can't wait to read the next book. This was a fun read involving, Lando and Thomas (a special big cat), and how they struggle to be together. I enjoyed the author's no nonsense writing style along with the sizzling plot, and of course, the wonderful ending, which is always important. Intriguing tale. =)

Vampire, shifter romance

Another vampire finds his beloved in a surprise location. Lando joins his friend Ian in surveillance of a new pub run by a group of small house cat shifters. They see two jackals break in and rush to save the cats. They discover the jackals dead in the kitchen in under one minute. Seven house cats could not do this so begins a puzzle for the vampires. In this puzzle Lando finds his mate and has to battle an ancient witch. Good story.

Just wasn't feeling it

It was ok, but def. Wasn't one of my favorites. I understand that they where both paranormal so the bond didn't need to be explained like with a human. Given that I also understand that the love between the two is supposed to be instant but I just really wasn't feeling it. There was so much of the book spent on everything else that the relationship aspect kind of got pushed to the side. So it was good, story wise, but not really what I had hoped for.

Each story builds on the last and leads to the next.
When Lando is called to help his friend Ian with a situation at the Black Rose he sees his Beloved, Thomas. The connection isn't instant because Thomas is magically hidden. When that spell is broken there are still problems to overcome. The cause of the biggest problem is only partially resolved at the end of the book. It's the set up for the next book.

Another awesome addition to an already great series

Book 7 is about a vampire and a black jaguar and the perils of being a feared legendary perfect creature. And what you'd do to protect what is yours. Very well written
and leaves you wanting more. Wanting them to be happy as well. Can't wait for book number 8. Wondering when all the mates of these vampires get together .

Great addition to the series....

This was a great read, I liked that Landon found his beloved, Thomas. The idea of almost losing his beloved to a witch, was not going to happen, according to Landon. I'm glad that it ended well with a HEA. I'll be watching out for the next book about Ian, and his feelings about the witch being his beloved. This should an exciting story.

Amazing! So much exciting fun!!! But I so need more! More love, more vampires, more excitement , just more! I love this coven! So willing to stand up for their family. Bit of danger, bit of angst, lots of happiness!
