I love this series for the characters. Again the storyline went by the same formula.

This one was pretty on par with the rest of the series. Fortunately, the triangle with Prudence is over as it dragged on way too long and did not paint Matt is a favorable light, in my opinion. Now if only Cyclops can get his act together. I think my favorite part of this novel was the return of Chronos. He is a flawed person, but I love him.

This has probably been my least favorite in the series thus far. Which is sad because I was super excited. For one, Willy is one of my least favorite characters in the series. I just feel like she only cares about herself.

description

Even when she was worried about Matt, it was all about her. Her and Aunt Leticia are two of my least favorite characters.

I also did not see the wedding coming in this one. Things had been dragged out for so long thus far. I thought they would wait a little while to get married, but it happened so suddenly! It was a nice surprise, but it felt a little anticlimactic because it had been building up for seven books. It will be interesting to see how things go from here now that the big conflicts are over.

Another outstanding mystery!

I highly recommend you read the full series from the beginning, as to know all that has come before! I love the series and each one contains an excellent mystery. Each has had me guessing & I was wrong every time! I wonder if you can solve the mysteries before the end.

As I hate spoilers, I will tell you things that won't give anything away. What I will tell you is how excellent the writing happens to be, superb! The descriptive talents of Ms Archer is the writing craft shown at its best. She can describe things so well that one can see the scene with the eyes closed; hear the sounds of whistles, shouts, and carriage wheels; smell the scents, feel the chill or heat, dirt and smut, & taste the tea! The dialogue is believable, natural, and well developed. The humor will come at the most unsuspecting times, causing one to laugh out loud. And, there is danger, love, heartbreak, jealousy, fear and murder. All together it makes for a fascinating read one cannot put down.

I encourage you to begin at the beginning, but if you have followed Ms Archer's Glass and Steele books right along, you must have The Cheater's Game! Stop reading reviews and click on the Buy Now button!

This was another addictive edition to a pulse pounding and intriguing series! Another magical murder ensures that Matt, India and the gang are all involved in solving this captivating whodunit! Willie is being evasive as usual and is busily making new friends. The neverending back and fourth between Cyclops and Catherine continues on. The wild west comes to the city and it provides the right atmosphere for this fast paced plot. I absolutely adored the conclusion! Truly, it was seeming like we would never reach this event. Cannot wait to see what this brilliant and imaginative author has in store for us next! Ms. Archer is a supreme storyteller 💕💕💕💕

I was really looking forward to this book and preordered it and all. It barely contained any magic this time, which is fine, but then rushed thru all of India and Matt’s wedding details and everything! We don’t even know what the end result was with the murderer and if he will get off or not! And there were literally barely any wedding night details!!! And then it says the end, coming soon 8th book in series! I’m of course going to keep reading them, idk how many more are coming, and I still love them, it just feels we waited so long for Matt and India to get together and be in love and it be okay and we rushed thru the rest once they did!

4 Stars

Really enjoyed this one. Finally Matt's uncle & family aren't interfering in Matt & India's relationship. That was a breath of fresh air!! The "Uncle" issue almost had me giving up on this series. The mystery was a good one and that was the main focus of the book. It was good to see M&I get their HEA in their personal life. Unlike a dear friend of mine...I was actually pleased we didn't get a lot of wedding details. ;-) Although the actually ceremony was a quick scene.

Can't wait for The Prisoner's Key!

Frankly, I didn't care for the mystery, I wanted to know what would happen between India and Matt. I liked the book, though - because the cast of characters living in 6 Park Street are great.

So, I guess I'll read the next one. I need to know what happens with Cyclops and Catherine.

I love this series Archer is one fine writer and storyteller. I found the first book in a Goodwill store in Illinois written by an independent author living in Australia. Thanks to the internet, I found and have the rest and also this wonderful writer has more series yet for me to explore. It's London, Summer 1890. Buffalo Bill's Wild West show has come to town.
