The introduction of Nanami and Todo? Incredible. But Junpei? I’m sorry but it’s my least favorite arc

“…Recently, I’ve been made to realize here, to the point that I hate it… how weak and useless I am. But I’ll become strong. I have to become strong to at least choose how I die.”
This whole volume may be my least favorite thing in the world just because of how much it hurts me and makes me want to weep.
It starts pretty fun and simple but the arc that is started just makes me sick.
On the other hand, we have some of my new favorite characters introduced so it kind of balances itself out.
"I'm an adult and you're a child. I have a duty to prioritize you over myself. You've escaped death many times. But that doesn't mean you've become an adult. Finding more fallen hair on your pillow, your favorite stuffed bread disappearing from the convenience store. The accumulation of despairs that's what makes people adults."
Honestly, I don't have a lot to say because I am in too much pain already for it to come out.
I really like Nanami and his unflappable, overly composed manners that just make everything hilarious in contrast with everyone and everything else. He is interesting and responsible... something much needed in this world.
Also, I miss seeing more of the first years and all the other students but I also understand the reasoning behind that... I just wish we could have it both ways.
Things getting more serious is not a bad thing but it is starting to worry me. I know this is supposed to be gruesome and pretty dark but the lightheartedness of the first couple of chapters have lulled me into a false sense of security.
Though, yeah, I am enjoying it all a lot.
“Even so, I don’ want to kill anyone […] Well, I mean, once I kill someone the choice of ‘killing’ will come into my life, I think. The value of life will become ambiguous and I’m scared of not even knowing anymore the value of the people I treasure.”

... I don't like that ending, I don't like the cliffhanger.
How come that every character in this manga is so incredibly precious? They make my heart ache.

I need more. I just can't get enough of this series and these characters. They're too precious.
Things are starting to heat up, I think, and I can't wait to see where the story takes us.

Nanami's strict "no overtime" policy is SO unnecessarily funny. He could be on the verge of demolishing (or getting demolished by) a curse, glance at his watch, and say "nah my shift is over, bye!"
I also have to appreciate Gege Akutami fleshing out Mahito's character. Now we know he's without a doubt batshit crazy... good villain material!!

"I'm an adult and you're a child. I have an obligation to look after you. you've survived multiple near-death experiences, but that does not make you an adult. Finding more and more stray hairs on your pillow than before, your local store no longer carrying your favorite bread, experiencing those little losses is what helps people grow into adults."
"do you understand? life has no weight or particular value. Just like how water flows through the earth, life simply flows. For you, me and everyone else, it's the same. Without meaning, without value. That is why you can do whatever you want, and live the way you want. Don't limit yourself to just being indifferent. there is no reason to live by such a restricting philosophy if you are hungry, eat. If you hate, kill."

JUJUTSU KAISEN VOL.3
Chapter 17 BORING
This Todo guy is weird. LOL. Asking a person you just met about their preference with girls and not even getting satisfied with the answer. He’s strong though!
Chapter 18 BOTTOM
Mai has such a pleasing personality. If only I have that much confidence and resolve like her! If I would be in Jujutsu, I would be acting like Miwa also HAHAHA. Gojo supremacy. ;D
Chapter 19 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT
Aside from Gojo, Nanami is just hot!!! He is also really cooollll!!!
Chapter 20 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT, PART 2
Nanami fighting looks really hot!! I love how he look holding his glasses. :D
Chapter 21 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT, PART 3
Junpei is a weird person but he is definitely influenced by the worst of people. Though I think he is a good thinker since his words are definitely deep.
Chapter 22 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT, PART 4
I forgot that evil person’s name though but he just looks very evil. Junpei is also having a lot of hate inside him towards the people who are just rude to him.
Chapter 23 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT, PART 5
Oh gosh that Mahito Curse is just very annoying! Though thank goodness Nanami is able to do something about his difficult situation. Yay! I also really like how Yuji is a very friendly guy. :)
Chapter 24 YOUNG FISH AND REVERSE PUNISHMENT, PART 6
Yuji is such a fun guy! Additionally, Junpei’s mother is so cool. It is such a huge difference between him who have a lot of hate and his mother. She seems like a pure person. But that finger though OMG!
Chapter 25 NARROW-MINDED
Mahito is the most evil of all! Gosh I just hate him so much!!!! Poor Junpei!! His mother is a precious person and they just kill her like she’s nothing! It just makes me mad. My gosh! Junpei just became worst! OMG the power of bad influence.

NANAMI!!!! ugh i love this series so much!
Dani ❤️ Perspective of a Writer
Jujutsu Kaisen vol 3 takes on a longer storyline and introduces a formidable opponent for Yuji Itadori. He’s been handed off to a contemporary of Gojo to be further trained. And is put into a terrible position that no teen should have to face by the end of the volume.
We do also get more setup with introducing a political character and checking in with Itadori’s teammates. I liked that these moments were short and didn’t drag on. Instead we got to know Nanami, the jujutsu sorcerer training Itadori, who has a neat, methodical curse method. Plus we started this longer, developed storyline.
The idea of a new baby curse spawning and wrecking havoc on regular humans, regular teen humans is really neat. I liked the way that curse manipulated another teen to bring him his test subjects. His ability too was horrorish which suits Jujutsu Kaisen so well.
If you enjoy horror, battles and a bold, inspiring MC then Jujutsu Kaisen is a new series you need to check out. The storyline is well developed and puts Itadori in a horrible position... I can’t wait to check out how he handles it in the next volume!

I am wholly in love with this series.
Also can we take a moment to appreciate the character songs?
I think I’m slowly falling in love with reading manga.
I love how fast paced the volumes are. I could finish them in one sitting but I don’t want to, because I want to savor them.
Also can we as a community all agree on hating Mahito? But like with a passion?
He is kinda hot, but like he is a villain. But then again, so is Sukuna. And he is my favorite character.
I have also seen some spoilers of what happens to Nanami and I’m sad.
That’s why I hate Mahito...

I want to see more of Megumi honestly.

This series reminds me A LOT of bleach still, but so far early bleach, so that means good things.
This volume is split between our main hero and his two new buddies. While they train, pushed on by another rival team, he is also getting his training on. In fact he is partnered with a new, very strong Jujutsu sorcerers. But what really worked in this volume is the enemy is fun as hell and also the new "enemy" could be potentially really interesting. The art stays solid with some wicked fight scenes to boot. I'm not attached to any big characters yet, but I'm enjoying my time with Jujutsu. A 3.5 out of 5.

This storyline is a lot longer and I like that we're able to see the process of Yuji getting stronger and his mindset on these things. I liked that a new character was brought in, Nanami to which we were able to see what skills he has.

This series gets better with every volume

I have a feeling that I am going to eat glass by the end of this arc.
