***why isn't there an adaptation yet 🤦

✨A well-deserved re-read ✨
It's so amazing still! One of my topmost manhwa favs of all times and I just cannot get enough of it. Call me crazy, call me weird I don't mind just give me the time to re-read this again soon.

*Review as on January 16th, 2020

This series is so damn good and different in matters of perfect balance in the character representation,the chemistry and the exploration of the complex thoughts and emotions of the characters.

It represented the doubts, the dilemmas, the difficulties faced by the youngsters as well as the adults when it comes to relationships which the society is still reluctant to accept. It explores well the rejections as well as the acceptance of someone you love, the sacrifices such couples have to make and yes, the homophobic comments and attitude towards such couples.

The story is based in a co-ed school where a really quiet guy has joined the school. He gets to meet a senior who's responsible for the newcomers in guiding them in school activities. He is openly gay and he's someone who's not going to deny it again. He's been hurt and he's not ready for any kind of relationship except friendship. It's the story of these two unlikely guys to finally fall for each other and end up together in the end.

Beautifully done.
And yes, they are hot.

The entire 107 chapters are exciting, heavy with emotions as well as insanely funny!

An open secret though: it's still ongoing 😁

And I know I am not funny anymore 🤭

*I am still high* Sigh!

4 stars!💜

This was so cute honestly. I loved the characters and relationships and friendships. it was just so wholesome and pure.

TBH I still wanted spicy scenes but ik china and censorship. so its fine.

waiting for an live adaptation, makers should consider this story honestly.

Review till Chapter 77

The last time we left on some issue regarding the past lover situation. Gladly it's resolved. YuYang is past his ex lover LinXiang. Moving on the manhwa is taking a cute turn. Lihuan is making moves on YuYang with the help of XiaXia who is a fujoshi. I really love her character. I mean obviously I am a fujoshi I can relate and sympathize with another fujoshi.

Ch 35 We got the first kiss. A drunk kiss😘.
After reading / watching tons of yaoi/bl I know the possible scenarios in which a kiss can happen and one of then is drunk kiss.

Next I wanna mention how YuYang vommited rainbow🌈. I mean ofc!

The best supporter ChuHuawen and I think we are getting his story as well. That pink hair boy was so cute.

Uncle pan and Zhong Qui Jie ✨

I loved how DJun introduced Lihuan in one of the extras "shy outside and wild inside".

YuYang is one of the best character. He fights for his rights. He is sassy and savage af. He takes no shit from his peers. That family scene where he handled the situation without shedding a tear. Hats off!

I can somehow relate with him on many levels. ❤️

Review till Chapter 33

Okay so like oh my freaking good. WHERE the hell I was all this time people were getting all ga-ga over it.

Honesty it's pretty good. I just started reading this morning and I am already at 33 episodes provided the fact that I had ton load of studying to do.

I was somehow addicted and story isn't rushing it's just taking it's time slowly developing.

Speaking of plot it's pretty simple I guess. I mean we know where we are heading unless there is no unnecessary drama involved. I look drama honesty but not like unecessary one. Like things could have been simpler but author just keep on dragging not shit like that.

Speaking of the artist she has a great sense of humour. No seriously and her art is splendid. It's simple with a lot of detailing. It's just beautiful.

Moving on the characters omg where do I even start? It's not like your typical weak and cute uke you just realies on seme for everything. Our protagonist YuYang is one hell of a cool person. He fights and he is caring and people like him. He takes no shit from anyone. He is friendly but angry sort of Chap. Our seme is LiHuan a quite introvert sort of guy. People thinl he is scary but he is really caring. He doesn't speak much as most of the talking is done by your uke.Every character has a distinguishable personality.

I live for baby pictures of characters and we already got an episode with it. So cute.

Currently between some spicy drama as YuYamg thinks LiHuan is a part of some heinous act along with that shitty guy. I forgot his name. Let's find out what happens next.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE END ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow, the end is here. It's been such a blast reading this and getting to know all the characters. I haven't felt this content with a long manhua in a long time. Never once was I bored, never once did I feel the plot was draggy, never once did I feel dissatisfied with how the plot was moving. It was just:
Thank you DJun for giving me this wonderful experience!
What's not to love about this webtoon? It's amazing! These are the reasons I love it:
No Unnecessary Tears
YuYang's character and personality is, in a very refreshing way, different from the initial impression he gave
Both male leads can take care of themselves. Neither is wimpy
The pace is good, dialogue is realistic, and reactions to certain situations are not exaggerated
The bullies are not even as annoying as I'd usually find them because the characters are smart and are always a step ahead
There's so much more I could list about what I loved in this webtoon. Most of the things have to do with YuYang since he's, so far, been the easier one to read.
What really made me know that I'd like this was in the beginning where YuYang confidently admits he's gay in response to a bully's attempt to embarrass him. I freaking loved it! He was so badass.
When we first got introduced to his character, he gave off the 'always-smiling-optimistic-shy-uke-type-that-doesn't-want-any-trouble' vibe. I thought he'd be like the characters from other yaoi mangas where he'd be reserved and would allow bullies to take advantage of him or what not.
He turned out to be a badass. I love so much that he is free to be himself and has a sorta dual personality where if you piss him off, he sheds his bright personality and isn't afraid to get down with you.
Lastly, I really like that YuYang isn't like a blushing bride or something. It's always so off-putting when I read mangas with adult characters that blush every single second when something as simple as a touch to the cheek happens. I really liked his reactions to the different 'moments' he and LiuHuan had. There was no exaggeration.
Before reading this, I'd been caught in the loop of reading mangas with weak characters and seeing, what is supposed to be, adult characters cry unnecessarily in each panel. So, Here U Are was a much needed refreshing breakaway from all that.
I'm looking forward to reading more of it. Looks like both characters knew each other when they were little. I wonder how that's going to come into play.
Definitely give this a go, it's worth it!
A story that will stay with me in many years to come.
I don't rate webtoons. But "Here U Are" is an exception. It deserves 5 stars and much more. These wonderful characters have an important place in my heart. I am happy for those who got their happy endings. And those who didn't, please never lose hope because this story may have ended but the story of your life....have only begun.
Highly highly recommend the series to everyone out there. Please give it a try. You'll fall in love.
The art style is beautiful. The characters are so handsome...Here are some arts from the webcomic.
I loved YuYang and LiHuan so much🤩. THE ART WAS SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST I'VE READ YET.
The only thing I kind of had a problem with was all other stories (YuYang's friends) interfering. I mean, I liked each of their stories too especially uncle Pan and Qui but it would have been better reading those separately instead of cutting in between scenes of LiHuan and YuYang killing me with their cuteness.
I was craving a reread because nothing can comfort me like this story does.
Also YuYang's friends???? I'd die for them.
If you're the type to read wholesome but realistic stories, this is the one for you.
The story is cutely adorable and at the same time the struggles that everyone goes through is real as it gets. At time the story really changes to a serious tone (with humorous undertones) that will leave you with tears in your eyes. The artwork is gorgeous so you get into the story in no time. Although it is slightly longer in length with 138 chapters and around 20 side stories scattered around, you will run through them like a man thirsting for water in a drought. I myself finished it in one day and literally stayed up to read it.
We have three couples here in the story (and a crossover couple too if I'm not mistaken). At one point I really did think Yuan and Huan Wen won't have their happy ending and a part of me was ok with Huan Wen finding his happiness with someone else but I'm kinda glad that they did find it. I'm still not sure how I feel about Uncle Pan's story but everyone deserves happiness after all. Of course I loved how each parent and adult reacted even if it took time for all to get used to. In the end the story ended with positive tones and I loved it. It was a much needed fluffy ending.
With that I conclude another great manhua and I am dearly hoping we'll get a nice ending to 19 days very soon too. Till then, adios.
In all honesty, I read this during the time I was emotionally unstable and this manhua felt like a god-sent to me. It healed my soul, boosted my serotonin levels, and pieced my cracked heart back together. I held this special in my heart. This is my comfort manhua. If you're reading this review just know that my opinion was influenced by the amount of how I squealed, smiled, and cried. I was soft and sensitive over little things and just a small gesture would make my heart melt.
The characters are not perfect but in my opinion they are very realistic since I know some people who struggled coming out with their sexuality and are burdened by the expectations, opinions, and slanders from the society and from their own family as well. I just love how strong our main character was and how he managed to face a very homophobic environment and he get to defend himself. The side characters too are very fleshed out. I want to read more about Huan Wen and Yuan’s back story. I cried a lot reading about them. Gods this manhua is just so soft and so healthy.
The reason why I rated this four stars was because the first half was really slow. I only delved into it when I got to the second part. It's not plot driven, truly, this manhua is just for serotonin boost and focused more about how the main character’s relationship developed and how Yu Yang opened up to Li Huan. Also, the extra chapters or bonus chapters between the original chapters confused me with the timeline that’s why it's only a four star for me.
Overall, this is the cutest and sweetest manhua I’ve read. If you’re into fluff and healthy romance between two gay men then I recommend this manhua for you.
Trigger Warnings: homophobia, bullying, non-con kiss, age gap
It was a nice manga, maybe a little too long, but still very interesting. I was happy to see that all the couples found their HEA. There were cute parts, funny and sweet ones, and also angsty parts, but the story seemed realistic and the reader (like I was) will eventually feel invested in all of them, and wish for the couples happiness. The saddest part of the story was the one about the seme's dad and the backstory about the mother and her sudden death when the seme was still in high school. Seeing that past, that saddness and the hurt both her husband and her son felt while missing her, made me shed some tears, and then the part when they both, plus the uke, went to greet her at the graveyard, made me shed tears again but for another reason, bcs in her way, from the place she was now, she gave her blessing to the young couple. I was also glad that the author gave us the side stories and the epilogue, and that all of them happened years in the future.
this was so long and started off so cute but basic but bro. BRO. this whole manga just kept getting BETTER I SWEAR UGH. it's easily become one of my absolute fave reads ever! i ADORED the plot, the characters, the storytelling and art style, and absolutely LOVED the way so many sensitive issues were handled!
firstly, ALL the characters (except creepy old men pursuing teenagers) are SO ADORABLE.
the protagonists.
i love LOVE my petty piece of shit son yu yang, the protagonist. short, bespectacled and shy? NAH dude might be short and bespectacled bUT HES openly gay and beats up people and gets beaten up for a living. also, he's not that short. bfs just so crazy tall it's wild. THE BF!!!!! precious stoic boy. i love them.
side characters
even the side characters are GREAT. i loved pink haired boy so much T____T yuan precious sunshine boy i will go to war for u!! and also quiet bespectacled bff. the yearning here guys. the YEARNING. also, the coming-out scene (more on that later) here was so great. i loved it so much.
the uncle pan vs rich spoilt kid thing was so......gross and uncomf tho. poor guy was just unloved AND EIGHTEEN. uncle pan, do better. BUT rich spoilt kid has the BEST character development EVER i was cheering for him from the distance TT (still not behind his thing wITH uncle pan tho. ugh)
flustered straight boy and airhead girl were also so cute. loved their developments too!!!
most importantly, the roommates. yu yangs roommates!!!! i ADORED their friendship!!!
"oh, and i'm gay. that's why, if you don't like it, then you can tell me now and i'll keep my distance from you. and if that's not enough, then i can even ask to change dorms"
"what? is this the new way to introduce yourself? alright, then! i'm straight :D what about you two?"
"same!"
"me too!"
"well, that's all the introductions. now we know it all! if anyone gets a partner, you can't hide them!
honestly, i need more of them. PLEASE.
