An incredible manga that demonstrates how manga can connect people across generations, regardless of who you are or what your upbringing is. Reading this was a lot of fun for me.
I love the art, especially the way the characters are drawn. Although the backgrounds are frequently filled with a lot of white space and are fairly minimalist, which I understand some people dislike.

This series continues to give me all of the warm fuzzies, even though it deals with some deep topics as any coming of age story would. The sweet friendship truly makes me feel like I am going to end up a puddle of tears by the end of this series. I adore how unconventional their friendship is, but that it is so sweet and fun. Please read this series.

"BL Metamorphosis" really is such a peaceful, introspective, and quietly funny series! It’s not flashy or stuffed with excess dialogue in any way; rather, it just lets the reader EXIST in the story alongside the protagonists and I like that. :)

I enjoyed this series 😍 Not much happening in this volume, but I liked the ending. I can’t wait to read the next volume coming in March 2021. Waiting patiently for the manga to be available at Kinokuniya 😊

Still cute, still wholesome, still loving it. Enough said.

2020 Read #733
Every new volume reminds me how much I adore this series. It is subtle, heartfelt, and bittersweet in its portrayals of friendship, growing older, and the connections we form with those around us. A stellar, quiet series.
Aynsley!
This volume got a little sad at times but it was still so so so good. Plus the ENDING I can’t wait for the next one to come in 😭😭🥰

This one started a little sad as it seemed Urara and Ichinoi hadn't spoken for a bit. Things are looking up though and it seems exciting
thy
you made me feel a little better

It's always too short~
I didn't see the ending coming at all, but it makes sense given that Ichinoi actually encouraged Urara to draw manga, too! They have such a sweet friendship. I really want to see more of all the characters.

This was such a cosy read but the third instalment is a tad slow, in my opinion.
Nothing much is happening in this volume but their relationship is still as cute as ever.
Can't wait to read the fourth, coming March 2021.

***finished on April 1***
Page 143 - the mangaka asked for stories about your grandparents. I realized I don't actually have many. And those I do have were of my great grandmother who acted like such a beeotch to my mother that even as a kid I despised her. I don't hold grudges very well but she was a special case. Still cried when she died though. I never got to ask her for stories about her life. Maybe there was a reason for the way she was.
This volume felt like that missed chance. But the characters took their chances.
Such a lovely story.
***Read for the 30 in 30 Manga Challenge***
Runs from Friday April 1 to Saturday April 30
The person whose announcement I saw for this challenge was Shaegeeksout on YouTube. She announced this challenge in their MANGA CHALLENGE ANNOUNCEMENT | 30 IN 30 IS BACK! video.
It's a bit embarrassing to admit but I have way too many unread manga on my shelves. I say it’s embarrassing because unlike my fiction books I feel like manga isn’t too much of a time-commitment. So having series complete, but only the first volume is read, is not okay in my bookish world.
So doing this will hopefully knock some series off my TBR shelves.
