There is literally no point to the existence of this!!! There's more excitement in listening to my gran tell a tale of being one number away from house at the bingo.

Via Audible.
More free content well worth listening to. Six people tell the story of what changed them or their lives.
Scout
I have so many problems with her therapist around honesty and ethical practice. Scout's moment of realisation was avoidable, and certainly shouldn't have happened because her therapist didn't maintain proper boundaries. A captivating story.
Mark
An unusual career path for a very good reason. I empathised with him a great deal, but the story was not the best one here.
Asma
I was dubious about this one, having no interest in basketball, but the story is not really about that. I admired her a great deal.
Jon
An emotional story, but I struggled to engage with this one the most.
Severine
I was desperate for this to have a good outcome. Heart-wrenching, and very beautifully told.
Jo
A really rare perspective on life, a mixture of ordinary childhood and terrible disturbance. Another good listen.
What came out of all these stories was seeing a perspective on humanity beyond the simplification in media and popular perception. I think it was Severine who particularly highlighted our common humanity, and indeed it was her story that gave me this thought. Mental illness, domestic struggles, fighting prejudice, substance misuse, tragedies in war, cults: there are human stories behind all of these that we can hear and relate to if we wish.

This is the kind of podcast that Audible does really well, ordinary people talking about moments that altered the course of their life in a fundamental way. Each episode has different narrator talking about their experience. Every experience was different and affected each person in different ways. Some of the experiences are positive and some are negative but all show strength of character and are inspirational. This is a little gem.

This was a complete waste of time. None of these ‘moments’ were overly profound or unusual, or even interesting. If it hadn’t been free, I’d be wanting my money back. Luckily all I lost was a few hours of my time (which, might I add, is usually better spent actually living a life I enjoy, so I don’t take this robbery lightly- but hey.. choose your battles, right?)

I did enjoy this, it was an interesting exercise listening to ordinary people and the moments that changed their lives. Clearly each moment meant a huge amount to each person, but there were only one or two that really struck me. Mark's and Jon's were really touching, and I thought that Scout's was an interesting comment on the way mental health issues are seen.

2.5. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for this. But I found each story very selfish.
Yes the circumstances in the story caused a change in the author’s life. But caused little else in the world
Maybe that is the secret. Change one person at a time?
An interesting read. But left me depressed.

I enjoyed most of the stories, but what I loved most was the audio sound effects, it made the whole experience a little bit magic and eerie, for me it was a big plus, and since I had it for free on audible it was a good experience if nothing more..

Interesting interview style on a moment that changed everything for the people involved in the interview.

Very generous of the people in these stories to share their intimidate moments of self awareness. Resilience and learning as major themes.
