This one was very sweet, because as much as it was about Ashton and Sonara's romance, it was about friendship too. The two of them had a strong base of friendship that when they added sex in, it made sense. I also think both of them were fooling themselves for many years, they were in love with each other, just weren't ready to admit to themselves, let alone each other. It was the last part of that, that was so frustrating! You wanted both of them to get their heads out of their asses and allow themselves to be happy...together.

I loved how Ashton laid it all on the line at the end, it was a perfect way for them to start the new phase of their lives.

4.5 stars. Sad, hopeful and entertaining as always.
Though I loved these two mature adults getting their HEA at last, I just felt they both were a bit obtuse though the years and felt sorry for them more than anything else. I ended up wondering if the lost years were worth the wait. Did it make it all sweeter in the end?
Ashton using, or believing, that marriage was not for him because of his brother, was not a viable reason when he was surrounded by so many good examples of relationships based on love and respect.
Sonora was a widow and embarking on a new life, so I understand her reticence for anything permanent to start.
I think I felt sorry for them over how many years they wasted just plodding along. I’m not quite sure how being friends for so long, with only the one romp between the sheets years previously, led to them ending up together.
Cannot say it felt like they fell in love but ended up settling for companionship. Though Sonora denies that was her thinking and Ashton has never hinted at wanting more. But they both start thinking about changing their relationship after a certain age.
He was always happy being needed at Silver Stone. But he wasn’t honest about his feelings for a long time I think, and that is a pity but he also felt he had to keep his word to Walter to look after them all. I’m not sure Ashton even realised he was getting older.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the overlap for events already witnessed with everyone in Hearts Falls. And how that text message got to Tucker was really fun.
But the absolute highlight was GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS FUTURE. Wow, didn’t that just put everything into focus for Ashton and show him what an ostrich he had been. And I adored the WHO behind it all.
This is my honest review of this book.

Finally, Ashton’s and Sonara’s story!!! I love that this authour doesn’t shy away from mature characters getting their HEA’s. Ashton and Sonara aren’t young when they meet, and they develop a friendship that works perfectly for them. Over the years, an attraction grows, and being who they are, they act on it. Feelings aren’t on the table for either of them, but you know what they say about well laid plans. Getting both of them on the same page, at the same time, takes some Christmas Carol-esque events, but it all comes through in the end

There were a lot of emotions in this book, especially if you’ve read all the Heart Falls books. We get to see the elder Stone patriarch alive and happy. How the events that unfolded affect Ashton so deeply. Meeting sweet Ivy and how she came to become friends with Walker. Behind the scenes to making Ashton’s birthday surprise happen. All the moments with Greg, and the one that brought it all together. As always, I am left happy and content, knowing that the resident’s of Heart Falls are living their best lives, together, in love <3

Ashton's been around since the beginning and he and Sonora have had a long-term dalliance that wasn't exactly a secret, but also wasn't straight-up acknowledged. And since both Ashton and Sonora seemed happy with their arrangement, things just kept on keeping on.

Until, you know, things changed. Both Ashton and Sonora started wanting more, but didn't quite know how to say it. Well, actually, they did sort of say they wanted more, but that was going from friends to friends with benefits. Both of them kind of shied away from asking for even more than that.

So things got a little messy, but they worked it out in the end. We got to see two sassy, feisty individuals dance around one another while surrounded by those they loved. *thumbs up*

A beautiful conclusion to a spectacular series!! A slow burning love story that was decades in the making!! It took Ashton decades to take Sonora from friends then to friends with benefits to full blown love and their HEA!! Many ups and downs with this couple but you can't help but root for them!! Grab your copy today and you will not be able to put this book down!!

Never to old for kisses

Loved seeing what a lot of the characters were up too. Anyone who likes reading a good family series should read all your books with the Colemans, Stones, and extended families.

I love Heart Falls

Another brilliant book, so glad we finally got to see Ashton and Sonora get together, even if we knew they would one day. Now just need Dustin's story.

So glad that Ashton and Donors got their story. It just takes some people longer than others to get their dream.
