I've been doing a reread of my own series and it's crazy how much I've missed these characters! Booker and Poppy were sizzling from chapter freaking 3! Whoopee! I went for it with this book! It's fun to see how much I wrote with abandon for them. And every single one of their childhood flashbacks had me tearing up! Ugh. Lamb chop and sunshine were so many things.

1.5 to 2 StarsI enjoyed this book until I didn’t. It had the potential to be a great friends-to-lovers romance but the hero pretty much ruined the book for me. He continually fought his feeling for the heroine throughout most of the book. For me, this type of trite plotline gets old and tedious real fast. By the time he finally opened his eyes and got his act together, I didn’t really care anymore. I also struggled with how “young adult” this book felt. For characters who’s ages ranged from mid 20’s to early 30’s, they sure behaved as if they were still in high school or college. The ending made me smile so I’ll give it that.

~4 Stars~First, dammmn that is a fine cover...wiping my drool off my chin now!
Ok, now back to the actual book, I really enjoy the Harris brothers and this series. This series is my only experience with this author, but I'm a huge fan and she has knack for sports romance.
Booker could be a bit annoying with his stubbornness, but he was equally enduring. Poppy stole this one, she was quite awesome. Her quirky personality and quick whit are my favorite qualities. All the banter between Poppy and Andrew, laugh out loud fabulous!! I want an Andrew book!!
If you're a fan of sport romance, I say give the Harris brothers a go. I would start at the beginning, you'll get much more out of the rest.

4 "She's like sunshine no matter what time of day it is," Stars!A fun and emotional best friends to lovers romance.
Poppy & Booker grew up together. Poppy showed up just when Booker needed her, and that proceeded to happen back and forth for the rest of their young lives. Broken hearts and growing apart take them away from each other for six long years, but now they are back together as roommates, and maybe even more?
I loved Booker and Poppy's story. I loved how bubbly and fun Poppy was, and I loved that even though Booker was closed off and mellow he knows how to have fun around Poppy. This was just a great read. Well written. Entertaining, and it was so easy to FEEL what Poppy and Booker were feeling. There were quite a few times I was tearing up with how emotional their deep feelings for each other made me feel.
This book has all the feels. If you like best friends to lovers, then I highly recommend Keeper.

Amy Daws has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I trust her with her words; I don't even read her blurb anymore. I'm so engrossed in the Harris Brothers that I need to know all about them.
Keeper is Booker's story and even if I wanted Gareth more, I also know I need to be patient and the rewards will be the perfect gift.
Once again, I'm in awe with how Amy writes a story that can be both emotional and fun. I've discovered her with Challenge and ever since I'm always laughing within the first 10% of the book. She knows how to put her readers' mind at ease and know how to captivate them right away. She gives characters depth, backstory and you are right away 100% invested in what is going to happen. In Endurance and in Keeper, she adds an emotional twist that I didn't suspect.
I thought Booker would be all amusing with no pressure but it wasn't. That man is a guy with insecurities and quite a lot of baggage. If I have one small thing to add it would be that I wanted a little more information on what Booker's childhood was. We got some flashbacks but I wanted more. It was maybe the only time where I felt I should have read Vi's story before because maybe there are some more insight of what the Harris brothers' life was. But really this is so small regarding to everything happening in the book.
I felt the attachment Poppy & Booker had. I felt the loss Booker had when Poppy left. I felt Poppy's helplessness when she had to face her feelings for her best friends. I felt everything that matters.
"There are certain people that cross your path in life whom you will change your entire direction to follow."Poppy & Booker are endearing characters and being back to best friends when you didn't see each other for the last 6 years might be harder than they both thought. They are grown up and they've changed. Being back to their old-self is practically impossible.
Poppy has such a sparkling personality; it's futile to try to resist her. She hides a wound she had to keep for 6 long years but she's willing to let her past behind to have a fresh start.
“The pleasure of love lasts a moment, but the pain of losing it lasts a lifetime.”As a keeper, Booker is always focus, he's an analyser but over the years he might have missed quite a few signs in his personal life. And there comes the emotional factor that took me completely off guards. Booker has a heart of gold but he's really not good with feelings and letting his heart feels true emotions.
When the attraction becomes too much, resisting was futile. Giving in was the only option even if nothing will be the same, maybe it's for the best, maybe it's what needed to happen.
“You smell so fucking good here.” He kisses my belly and crawls up my body, holding himself off of me with his muscled arms. “And here.” He kisses the divot between my breasts. “Here.” He kisses the space below my ear. “Here.” He kisses my lips. “Everywhere. And I’m going to fucking taste you again because you are making me lose my bloody mind, Poppy.”Being with a Harris means bonding with a bunch of other people. Family is important and to get back with all of them was as usual the cherry on the cake. The twins are still so funny, Vi is the mommy we all want and Gareth is still a mystery I want to unwrap.
Now that I'be been a good girl can I have my reward?

4 in the net stars!I love the Harris family. Their bond from losing their mother too soon is something to admire. Their constant bickering and bantering is hilarious. I love how they always stick their nose into everyone else’s business, with all the love in the world, of course! Now was time for baby Booker to get his turn at his HEA. The baby of the family, Booker doesn’t remember his mother at all, and has grown up believing that loving anyone outside of the family means losing them and isn’t worth the risk.
Booker and Poppy have been best friends since the age of 7, when they ran into each other in the forest between their two houses. They were thick as thieves until they were 18 and Booker unknowingly broke Poppy’s heart and she ran off to university in Germany to mend her broken heart. 6 years later and Poppy is back and Booker has offered her a room in her apartment while she waits for her new job to start. The sexual tension was there from the minute they reunite.
There’s been a void in my life these last few years, and I think it was the absence of her. God I’ve missed her.
The flashbacks to when they were kids were really sweet and endearing, giving us so many feelings and emotions to what they two have gone through together and just how much they mean to each other.
“Who will make sure I make it to Heaven now?” He exhales and wipes a tear running down my nose. “You have me for that, silly.”
I loved Booker like you love an annoying younger sibling, never giving up on them, but sometimes you just want to shake them! It took him much too long, in my opinion, to come to grips with his emotions and what he was actually feeling for Poppy. For a goalkeeper and someone that knows how to read a situation, he sure was oblivious to what was right in front of him at times. I did get a little tired of hearing just how scared he was to lose Poppy as a friend…it was at least a dozen times.
“Poppy, you are everything I want as a man and everything I took for granted as a boy.”
Poppy was so much fun. She’s a bit quirky, quite a bit clumsy and still trying to figure out life. The relationship she had with their downstairs neighbour and workout buddy, Andrew, was hilarious. I want an Andrew of my own – and he MUST have a thick Scottish brogue!
“If Booker Harris doesnae fall for ye after tonight, I’m turning straight and dating ye myself, Poppet. Ye look pure, dead brilliant. A proper bonny lass.”
This was a very sweet story about long-time best friends becoming more. Another fun read in the Harris family saga.
“But, Booker, nothing loved is ever lost. It’s kept forever inside your heart.” I roll my eyes but reach down and hold her arms around me. “I don’t ever want to lose you, Poppy.” She half smiles and sings, “I’ll never leave you, Booker.”

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *5 Stars* Audiobook kindly received from author in exchange for an honest review. I’m new to audiobooks, so new that this is only my second one. And the first one was Endurance, the book before this one in the Harris Brothers series.
I loved Will Watt and Lottie Cole as narrators for Endurance, but for Keeper? Wow! These guys were born to narrate these two characters.
Listenting to this on audio, brings all the feels and more that I had whilst I read the book earlier in the year when it was released. Will does Booker perfectly and the secondary character accents in Irish (Nigel) and particularly the Scottish accent (Andrew) are fabulous as well. Man, the Scottish accent? I literally giggled loud and hard like a schoolgirl the first part of the book that it appeared in.
It made me so happy! And Will is so good, that just like if I was talking to someone with the Scottish accent, I couldn’t clearly decipher it all. A Scottish person probably could, but little old me over here in Australia? Nup. Most of it yes, but not all of it.
Will and Lottie bringing life to this story is just so much fun and also so emotional. I swear, this audiobook is perfection. Lottie perfectly does Poppy’s parts where she sings as she talks, and just the emotion in all the voices in the tense or emotional scenes is fabulous.
Particular scenes like the one with Vi and Booker after he babysits Rocky one night, they really showcase how well these two work at bringing the emotion to the forefront. And the scenes where its the three girls, Poppy, Indie and Belle, they’re so much fun too!
Both Will and Lottie make it easy to distinguish which character is speaking, and they really bring out their personalities. If the characters are laughing, you’re laughing, if they’re crying, you’re crying, if there is angst or anguish or anger, you feel it to. I will admit to grinning like a fool while listening to this, and also trying to hold back the tears. If people had seen me they would’ve wondered who the crazy person was 😉
Amy Daws has done such a fabulous job writing this novel, its my fave Harris Brothers book so far, I absolutely ADORE Booker and having these two narrate is, as I said before, perfection.
If you’re more into listening to a book rather than reading it,
THEN GET KEEPER! If you like to read a book but also listen to the audio,
THEN GET KEEPER! Pretty much,
JUST GET KEEPER! You won’t regret it!

ORIGINAL REVIEW OF EBOOK *5 Stars* ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review. Hot damn Booker Harris, you're in my net. This is the 3rd book in the Harris Brothers series, and I'm absolutely loving all of their stories. The dynamic of this family is amazing.
I'll go balls deep with them every time.
This novel is Bookers story. He's the youngest of the bunch and like his older brothers he plays soccer (footy for the Brits), and he's the Keeper for his team.
Booker is sick of being seen as the baby brother, but he also has a lot of issues he needs to come to terms with. Things he doesn't even realise to begin with really. He needs his eyes opened, and Poppy, his best friend from his childhood, might just be the one to do it.
Poppy is a pretty cool character, she fits right in with Indie and Belle. She's quirky and not afraid to show her true self to people. She is how she is and thats all there is to it.
Booker is just so damned adorable and I loved watching he and Poppy grow, and learning all about how they work/fit together. I particularly loved the moments when he would "Keeper" her.
Andrew was a great secondary character in this one, and of course we got Cam, Tanner, Gareth and Vi back as well as their Dad and respective partners. I really do love this family.
This one had lots of feels, moments where I was like "Im not crying, you're crying" - but in a good way, I promise. I'd get frustrated with the characters, I'd laugh with them, I'd get smug when they did, and I fell in love with them.
Booker might just be my fave Harris. It's between him and Cam, I can't decide. *sigh*
You'll love Booker, in all his Keeper glory, with all his insecurities and his typical Harris moments. Baby Booker, you're in my net, what a Keeper *swoon*.
I fly through these books in no time, and I can't wait for Gareths book, which is the next one we can expect from Amy. I highly recommend this series.

I tried so hard, even after 4% and a terrible, juvenile STD joke (sorry, don't love stigma around any diseases. Like saying lung cancer is deserved if you exhibit risk behavior. STIs can have devastating consequences and are not funny to me, I guess. Iirc, this is a typical fallback and I struggled with rape and promiscuity jokes in the second of this series.) I was saying I tried, but I became quickly fatigued. I don't have it in me.

Oh goodness me, just when I thought this series couldn’t get better Amy goes and hits me up with Booker Harris and HOT DAMN, he was absolutely everything and more.
Booker and Poppy are best friends, ever since boomers eyes landed on the girl with the dirty dress he knew they’d be friends forever. Hearing about their childhood is so incredibly adorable and left me in awe. They were so cute. After that one horrible night ending with Poppy leaving for Germany she finally comes back 6 years later, ready to continue with their friendship and watching them do so is like a damn rollercoaster ride. 6 year apart is going to bring change and these two definitely notice the changes and it’s fun to watch these two discover them.
Booker broke my damn heart with how he feels towards love, I just wanted to wrap him in my arms and squeeze the shit out of him. The poor lad knows loss and fears love, that must be extremely hard to love with.
As always those other Harris brothers and sister and dad make an appearance and I damn well loved it. This series wouldn’t be the same of ALL of the Harris’ weren’t mentioned in it at some point, especially the twins and vi. The twins (Tanner and Camden) are absolutely hilarious when placed together and Vi, she’s such a lovely sister always trying to help and that’s beautiful to see even when she’s interfering too much lol.
Oh and let’s no forget aboot Andrew, I loved that man so hard and the fact that Amy nailed that Scottish accent had me smiling so damn hard, it was fucking perfect!
Amy Daws has blew me away with yet another amazing book, I simply can NOT wait for Gareth, his story is going to be epic, I can just feel it. Once again, all the damn stars for this Harris bro!

This was okay apart from my least favourite trope appearing out of nowhere. However, book three and I’m finding this felt all too familiar. I enjoyed books one and two but needed something a bit more fresh for the third offering.
Great duet narration.

I popped my Amy Daws cherry with this one, and I can't believe it has taken me this long. Keeper is a standalone but part of a series spin off, It can read before the others but I will definitely be going back to read them.
Booker Harris is a professional Goalkeeper, who's life was turned upside down when his childhood best friend left for Germany for college without giving him a proper goodbye, Fast Forward 6 years and Poppy returns to take a teaching job. What will happen when these reunite and will it all change when the two best friends become Room Mates?
Booker is the alpha male we can all love, He is hot, Sexy the whole package but Booker believes he isn't capable to love outside his family and friends. Poppy is a very head strong woman and I loved her Witt and humour. There were times I wanted to slap Booker and shout 'Open your eyes' and 'Come on Man' and when a book has me talking to myself I know it's something special. And my major heart melting moment came in Chapter 24, which changed this from a Four Star Read to a Five Star. Yes my eyes were glassy!!!
A truly amazing book filled with drama, heart melting moments, super sexy moments and a rocky and not so smoothly journey from friends to lovers, definitely a must read!!

Oh Booker! How can you not love him????
The Harris brothers are a group of men who know what they want (well, sometimes) and will go after it and fight for it.
The chemistry between Booker and Poppy was perfect! Their connection never faded, even over time. But, they had their ups and downs and everything in-between.
I loved reading all the Harris boys books, go grab this one! And make sure you grab Booker's brothers books too!

I want Booker to love me.
This is the third book in the Harris series. It's Booker's story the youngest in the family. His life hasnt been easy being the youngest in the Harris family. But the one person that made it easier was Poppy his child good friend. They have been close since they were 7 and code ever since. Well until things got a lil sticky and Poppy left him to go to Uni in Germany. Now 6 year later she is back and feeling ate goin crazy. The only think is Booker doesn't do love. Even though Poppy means the world to him he has alway found it hard to love outside of his family. But now seeing Poppy after 6 years things are goin to be hard to keep her in the friend zone.
Poppy is a great girl she is quirky fun loving and sometime clumsy. But has alway had a great relationship with Booker he is the friend that would do stupid things with her and make her laugh. But after things got weird and she moved to Germany for Uni things weren't the same between them. Know she was back and was goin to be his Roomate, what could go wrong.
This story was so good it's full of sexual tension heart breaking moments and fun. I really enjoying friends to lovers story and this was great. Booker and Poppy were meant to be together. They both hard to fight there feelings in some way but Booker did make it hard work when I did want to slap him at times. He has this sexy gorgeous woman in front of him and he couldn't see it or didn't want to. These Harris brother are just amazing I luv them all so far it's so hard to choice my favourite cause they are all sexy alpha men. I m dying to Gareth book but I don't want this series to end. I would highly recommend this book of you haven't read it yet do you won't regret it.

Another great book by Amy Daws!! Keeper can definitely be read as a standalone as I have not read either of the first two books in this series. Booker's brothers do make appearances in this book but they do not overshadow anything in this book.
One thing that I can tell you that stands out in this book is how close and tight the Harris family is. They are all in each other's lives and know what's going on constantly with one another and Amy portrays that very well. It's not annoying in the least and you can feel the closeness of them all - it's contagious. And I have no doubt that is probably the same feeling in her other books as well with these brothers.
Keeper is Booker's story. He's the baby of the family. The one who was always trying to keep up with his older brothers. Until Poppy came along. Poppy saw Booker as an equal - he never had to prove himself. They were best friends til she moved to Germany. Now she's returning home for a job and they become roommates. Booker and Poppy believe everything will be back to the way it was before she left. But neither are who they were six years ago.
Amy does a great job of writing a very tension-filled friendship between these two. Poppy refuses to let her walls down again and get hurt. Booker refuses to lose his friend again because he can't control his raging hormones as if he's a teen again. But the more they fight it, the more they realize they're just pushing each other away. We always take for granted the ones we love the most.
I really enjoyed this story. I didn't love it as much as her others, but it was still very good. I am looking forward to Gareth's book, which I am hoping it next in her line up!!

I fell in love with the Harris brothers the moment I started reading Challenge and as the series progresses they just keep getting better and better. Camden was firmly sitting pretty as my favorite Harris brother up until I read Keeper. Why? Two words: Booker Harris. *swoon* That man. Sweet baby Jesus. He is now sitting pretty at the top of my Harris brother totem pole with Camden right behind him.
Not only does Keeper have the dreamy Booker Harris, but Poppy is adorable and quirky. Seeing her fall into an immediate friendship with Belle and Indie was so fun. Especially once Belle's crazy started showing. I seriously want to be best friends with these girls.
If you have yet to meet the Harris brothers, you are missing out on truly wonderful books. Amy Daws weaves romance, sports, and amazing family dynamics to create stories that are both funny and romantic. Angst. Humor. Romance. Desire. It's all part of her magic.
Amy Daws you, my dear, are a
freaking genius . Never stop writing.
I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
